730 you are going to have to up your insulin. Perhaps a short stay in Hospital to regulate your glucose levels will do the trick. While in hospital you also can be trained to calculate how much insulin to take and how to eat.
Stick with it and you will get it right. Many times we have to take control of our disease. Research it, study it because some doctors just don’t get it. You may need to change doctors ? Who Knows. But if you don’t get control , your life expectancy and quality of life will deminish. Blindness, heart disease, diabetic Neuropathy and kidney failure are in the cards.
You must take control. Its not a pipe dream. It can be done.

    Good luck my friend

Hi, sorry to read that you are having such a difficult time of it.
I speak from own experiences having lived with Type 1 (insulin) diabetes for just over 50 years.

Tin S offers some very good advice on this site.

You appear to be a bit stressed and no doubt you are sensitive which affects your blood sugar levels. Mine does anytime I am worried about something.

Change your diet to a low GI one (more complex carbs).
Eat more fresh fruit and veg. Drink plenty of water.
Always carry a muesli bar and jelly beans on your person in case of emergency hypo.

Good diet (healthy food, smaller portions, cut down all fatty, salty and sugary products), Use low GI food groups, and daily exercise is a must for all people especially for diabetics in order to minimise health complications.

Consult your doctor about changing your medication or increasing your medication in order to bring your BSL’s into range.

Do you attend a diabetic clinic or see an endocrinologist?

    Might be worth looking into.

Diabetic educators are also great for help with managing your condition especially as you are newly diagnosed and have much to learn about this chronic health condition.

    Best of luck.

Relax. From your info, it sounds like some of your health problems are, or are caused by, stress. The high blood sugar is only a danger to your health long term. In the short term, there is no threat. The cdoctor will come up with a regimen of diet and insulin.

Your best bet diet-wise to prolong your life would be to lay off any sweets, breads, fries, carbs, and eat more vegetables, lean meat and fish.

the normal glucose level in man after meals is 110-150mg/dl .by taking excess sugar it may reach 200 also but if it is increased more than this you have diabetes .
in diabetes mellitus sugar level increases more due to deficiency of insulin .so it is better you go to doctor and check up your sugar .

It is a question for a doctor. !80 target is ok, but over 240 is not good.

I was prescribed Lantus in the morning when I got up.My doctor started me on one unit the first day and had me ad a unit each day.after my glucose came down he had me st adding.I’m up to 40 units of Lantus once a day.I count my carbohydrates for each mill.I use my count divided by 8 to get my units of Novolog.I can do this for snacks/Cakes and Alcoholic drinks as well. What I am doing is no Alcohol for now and a small piece of cake or pie.Talk to your doctor about the Acton’s diet.I’m working on cutting down on my carbohydrates.Breads and sweets. And adding more greens to my salads.
